Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for paid subscriptions to myFamilyBudgetTracker (the “Service”). All payments are processed by Paddle.com, Inc. (“Paddle”), our authorized Merchant of Record. Refunds are processed back to your original payment method by Paddle.

1. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your paid subscription for any reason, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase or renewal. No conditions, no questions asked. Simply email support@myfamilybudgettracker.com from the email address on your account, and we will process a full refund.

2. Free Tier

The Free tier is free. There is nothing to refund.

3. Pro Tier (Bring Your Own Key)

Pro is a recurring monthly or annual subscription. You may cancel at any time from Settings → Billing or via the customer portal Paddle provides. Cancellation stops future renewals. If you cancel within 14 days of a charge, you receive a full refund (see Section 1). After 14 days, you retain access to Pro features until the end of the period you have already paid for.

4. Family Tier (Managed AI, with 7-Day Trial)

The Family plan includes a 7-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial, but you are not charged during the trial period.

  • Cancel before the trial ends no charge.
  • Do not cancel before the trial ends your payment method is charged automatically on day 8 for the first billing period.
  • Cancel after being charged you may request a full refund within 14 days of the charge (see Section 1). After 14 days, you retain access until the period ends.

5. Additional Refunds

Beyond the 14-day guarantee, we may also issue refunds where:

  • You were charged due to a billing error on our part.
  • The Service was unavailable for a significant portion of the period and the outage was within our control.
  • You were charged after cancelling and we have proof of the cancellation.

To request a refund, email support@myfamilybudgettracker.com with your account email and a brief description of the issue.

6. Statutory Refund Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable statutory refund right you may have under applicable consumer-protection law (for example, some U.S. states or jurisdictions outside the U.S. provide a cooling-off period for digital purchases). Where such rights apply, they prevail over this policy.

7. How Refunds Are Processed

Approved refunds are processed by Paddle to the original payment method used at checkout. Bank processing times vary; refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days. We do not control the speed of your card issuer or bank.

8. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first — we resolve almost all billing issues directly. Filing a chargeback with your bank without first contacting us may result in your account being suspended pending resolution of the dispute.
